Through his art, Mark O'Ryan investigates the balance between nature and the built environment.
Re-purposed building materials, like sheets of plywood, are given a new fluid, organic form that recalls the materials' origins - a recognition of the vestiges of nature surrounding us.
In his public art, Mark O’Ryan not only returns wood to its original organic form, he also returns it to its important role of providing a home to multiple species of fauna and flora.
